Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable)

Based in Orlando, Florida, our family-owned company operates across five locations in the state. For over 38 years, we have provided top-tier service to grocery retailers, restaurants, and businesses throughout Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.
Our company is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist that has attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and dependable.
Accounting Responsibilities
• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Enter and job cost invoices into Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Accounting Software for processing and payment ensuring vendors are paid within established time limits.
• 3-way match invoices to receiving documents and purchase order.
• Research vendor statements and invoice discrepancies.
• File paid and unpaid invoices, statements and credit card receipts.
• Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
• Assists Staff Accountant and branch personnel as necessary.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Excellent time management skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
• Data entry into accounting computer system.
• Good basic math skills.
• Intermediate MS Office skills, with an emphasis of intermediate Excel experience.
• Microsoft Dynamics – Wennsoft SMS/EMS preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience with primary responsibility for payables and receivables.
• Acumatica Experience, a plus.
